Jeremy is driving his deceased brother Evan’s van from Denver to San Diego to drop it off with the new owner. Leah, Evan’s best friend, joins Jeremy, secretly wanting to spread a vial of Evan’s ashes in one of his favorite spots. Leah convinces Jeremy to take a detour that will lead them to the spot hidden in the Southern California Desert. Jeremy is anxious about timing with a flight home for an important job interview. Leah eventually reveals the true reason for her joining him.
